War for Talent: the Solution? Grow our Own!

The ongoing skills shortage in the insurance industry is far from a new issue. As businesses grapple with finding skilled talent, the question remains: are we, as experienced industry leaders, doing enough to cultivate the talent we need?

For years, companies have participated in a "talent war," poaching experienced hires from competitors in hopes of solving their skill gaps quickly. But this strategy has backfired.
